Students that are newer to yoga often think that it’s all about reaching outward… But this practice is all about drawing the body toward its middle. Oftentimes in yoga, we take big stretches that can pull us away from our energetic center. Outward flexibility without the ability to draw the body back in can lead to weakness, and eventually injury. We will use our yoga block as a tool to strengthen the inner arms, inner legs, and core. Don't be surprised when you realize how challenging it is to hug inward!
